Police were called to an 8th Street residence at around 8:15 p.m., for a reported burglary, the department said in a release.

There, a victim said that three sisters whom she knew had entered her home without permission, authorities wrote. One of the sisters chased the victim to a bedroom, forced her way inside, and "assaulted the victim with hands and a glass object," police wrote.

All three women had fled the scene by the time officers arrived, authorities added.

On Monday, April 17, all three of the accused sisters surrendered to police.

Coressa Townsend, 21, of Lincoln University, was charged with burglary, simple assault, weapon possession, and harassment. Briana Townsend, 19, and Alayna Townsend, 18, both of Lincoln University, were charged with conspiracy.

All three sisters were taken to Chester County Central Booking for arraignment and each is due in for a preliminary hearing on April 25.
